  This is excellent espresso coffee. I have bought multiple packs of this coffee in the past year, but have never before reviewed it. I use it both in my stovetop percolator and my electric espresso machine. It has never disappointed, always great quality, excellent crema and refreshing results! 5/5 stars.

  My husband is from the UK and this is the only espresso coffee he loves (and he considers coffee to be a food group, so this is highly important to him!). We were thrilled to find it on Amazon at such a reasonable price. It’s saved us from driving 1 hour (round trip) to a store that *might* have it in stock.

  Just made my first latte with this espresso and it is EXCELLENT – smooth, NOT bitter at all, rich, dark, roasted, chocolate notes. I will never use Starbucks espresso again! Definitely purchase this item.

  I always use a melitta cup for making any espresso coffee and this one is just delicious. I checked my ph strip and it does not register as acid. It doesn’t bother my stomach at all and I am super sensitive to anything acid. American coffee I have a hard time tolerating; the Italian and Kenya coffees that are dark roast espresso are thought by some people via their processing techniques and quality to be alkaline. It makes the American coffee look like junk for how the body responds and the taste. Once you have had this coffee you won’t want American coffee anymore as it is not bitter.

  In case anyone is wondering what a melitta cup is, it is a cone made from plastic or ceramic (mine is ceramic) and it has a hole at the bottom. I adjust the coffee filter to fit it and then put the espress coffee in it and then pour my hot water from the tea kettle into it. I add a little nut milk into the coffee and I am ready to enjoy a wonderful taste. It beats dealing with a coffee maker any day. Each person in the family can have their own melitta cup as it is so quick to do.

  I have been drinking Lavazza Rossa Expresso for 25 years.But I have been getting it directly from family members in Italy for the whole time.I was incredibly surprised that Amazon had it!My family is in Rome and they bring it by the dozen for me.It’s so cool that now I don’t have to wait for my family to go to Rome to get my expresso coffee.AMAZON RULES!

  This is s great coffee if you are into espresso based drinks. the price…unbelievable, much less than i would pay in a store (if I could find it in a store around here). and with setup shipping every few weeks, i don’t even have to think about it…you come home from work, and there it is, waiting to be enjoyed…

  My family has traveled all over the world and Lavazza is the best coffee ever! Every time my friends go to Germany or Italy I have them pick it up for me. We were just running out and I happened to look on Amazon and there it was!!!!!!! This is great, I just bought 8 bricks and am going to buy more. I have to give these away as gifts because when my friends come over they love it too! Thanks Amazon for carrying this!

  I lived in Europe for a year and a half and drank this coffee almost daily. I would drink Lavazza and Illy almost exclusively. Since moving back to the US in January 2008 I have been drinking sub-par American coffee. The usual suspects, Green Mountain, Starbucks, Newman’s Own, Seattle’s Best, etc. I didn’t remember what quality coffee tasted like and so I continued to drink these coffees pretending they were good. It was not until I ordered Lavazza and brewed it in my French Press that I remembered what real coffee was supposed to taste like.

  This espresso roast is nearly perfect. It is strong, but not bitter. It tastes of dark chocolate and smokey wood. And the best thing of all is the price on Amazon. There’s simply no reason to drink crappy American coffee. Do yourself a favor and order this today. If you like good, strong, European coffee, you’ll love this. Illy is probably a little bit better, but at $13 for 8.8 ounces it is just too expensive for what you get. This is nearly as good, for a third of the price.
